Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Tenera Inc. (“Tenera”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Tenera Reports platform and related services (the “Service”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it to be readable, not just compliant.
We do not sell your data. We do not, and will not, sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your customers' information to third parties for their own marketing or any other purpose. The data you put into Tenera belongs to you and is used only to provide the Service to you.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to our website, users of the Tenera Reports platform, and the engineering and site data you upload or generate while using the Service.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide: account details (name, email, company, role), billing information, and the content you upload or create — including site data, images, documents, and reports.
Information collected automatically: basic usage and device information (pages visited, features used, browser type, approximate location from IP) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To generate the reports and documents you ask the Service to produce.
- To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and important service updates.
- To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to run the Service. They may process your information only on our instructions and only to perform services for us — never for their own purposes.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting and storage of platform data. Hosted in USA and Canada.
- AI processing providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI) — used to generate report content from the data you provide. Content sent for processing is not used by these providers to train their models.
- HubSpot — customer relationship management and communications with prospective and current customers.
5. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hosting on secure AWS infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and limit access to those who need it.
6. Where your data is stored and processed
We are based in Toronto, Canada, and serve customers in Canada and the United States. Your information may be stored or processed in Canada and the United States. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us at contact@tenerapro.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
